Our History
Great Valley Vineyards was founded in 2012 with big dreams and high ambitions. At this point in time, Great Valley is more of a project with hopes of becoming a full operational vineyard and winery.
Today, Great Valley is in the process of growing its vine stock. By purchasing vines and propagating canes, the vineyard Owners wish to slowly expand and then produce wine. One of the first goals is to purchase a parcel of land. The acquisition of land is part of the Vineyard's five year outlook. Another thing we are persueing are winery supplies, and with these we plan to have a small production run of wine for 2013.
Until the land become available, the Vineyard will maintain its current course of leadership and through prayers and dedication the goal of producing wine will finally be realized.
In September 2013, Great Valley Vineyards had its first harvest of grapes. This is a monumental step in the process of growing into a full fledged vineyard and winery. It was a great feeling picking the first grape bunches from the vine. We know that this year the harvest is very small, but each year through propagation and expansion the harvest will multiply. Soon, we hope to be producing 5 gallons, then 10 and then more and more.

As you may notice, there are not many grapes this year for crushing. That is because the other vines are too young. Here at GVV, we are not discouraged by a low yield, so we will still make wine no matter how small the amount!
